Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to optimize lunar production at our state-of-the-art facility. You will lead workflow design, apply lean methods, and coordinate manufacturing with engineering to ensure high-quality, timely outputs.

Applicants should have a BS in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering and 8+ years in manufacturing, preferably aerospace/high-tech, with strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of manufacturing experience in aerospace or high-tech industries.
• Familiarity with ERP, MES and PLM systems.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Detail-oriented with focus on quality, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implement lean principles and continuous improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with design and engineering to ensure manufacturability.
• Develop time and motion studies to optimize labor utilization.
• Update durations in MES and perform capacity planning to meet deadlines.
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes and monitor metrics.
• Develop standard operating procedures and best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Capture best practices and manage organizational knowledge.
