Job summary

DRiV, the aftermarket group of Tenneco, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continually improve manufacturing processes and products in our Skokie, IL facility.

You will determine machines, equipment, tools, and operation sequences, collaborate with engineers and vendors, and lead projects that enhance safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• CAD experience is a plus.
• Lean, Six Sigma and cost-savings analysis knowledge.
• Certification in Lean for Manufacturing, Lean Product Development, and Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and improves manufacturing processes and product designs.
• Determines machines, equipment, tools, and sequences of operations.
• Coordinates with internal and external customers and vendors.
• Drives safety, quality, and productivity improvements.”
• Manages tooling, equipment, and material sources to meet deadlines.
• Leads cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
