Itron, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineer to develop and maintain manufacturing methods and processes for fabrication and assembly of parts and finished products.

You will partner with Manufacturing Engineering and cross-functional teams to support NPI, improve performance, and drive labor standards. • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ year of relevant industrial or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing and continuous-improvement methods (5S, kaizen, Gemba, time studies).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Ability to collaborate across Engineering, Operations, and Quality.
• Agile mindset to handle changing priorities with evolving production requirements.
• Customer-centric approach to manufacturing improvement for utilities/energy sector.
• Effective communication across multiple levels.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, establish, and maintain process cycle times, labor standards, work standard routings, and process times across manufacturing departments.
• Perform time studies and analyze manufacturing processes to establish accurate time standards and identify opportunities to improve productivity.
• Coordinate the release and implementation of new products through the NPI process with cross-functional teams.
• Estimate manufacturing costs and recommend tooling, equipment, staffing, and process requirements for new and existing product lines.
• Review and analyze existing production lines to determine efficient use of operators, equipment, and floor space.
• Identify and resolve throughput constraints, bottlenecks, and capacity limitations.
• Lead and support LEAN continuous-improvement activities, including kaizen events and 5S initiatives.
• Maintain and update the plant master layout as new equipment is installed or lines are modified.
• Create and maintain work instructions, process flow charts, and manufacturing procedures.
• Plan and budget manufacturing engineering activities and ensure timely deliverables.
• Develop timelines for new and existing manufacturing programs and adapt to evolving requirements.
• Identify and execute factory cost-reduction and productivity-improvement projects.
• Implement innovative process improvements to enhance SQDC performance while meeting customer needs.
• Maintain manufacturing records and reporting systems to coordinate operations.
• Collaborate across Operations, Engineering, Quality, and other functions to resolve issues.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement using data-driven problem-solving.
• May provide day-to-day guidance to a co-op student.
