Job summary

Red Dot Corporation, the leading producer of premium mobile HVAC units and components for heavy-duty commercial and military vehicles, seeks an Industrial Engineer in Puyallup, WA. This on-site role leads process improvements across manufacturing operations with cross-functional teams to deliver safety, quality, cost and delivery gains.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in industrial engineering, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, CAD and data-analysis proficiency, and experience with ERP/MES systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading process improvement projects with measurable results.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, Power BI).
• Experience with ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle, Plex, or similar).
• Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across functions and levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement projects from problem definition through implementation and sustainment.
• Apply advanced Lean and Six Sigma tools (DMAIC, SMED, Kanban, SPC) to solve complex problems.
• Lead cross-functional teams in Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and root-cause analysis.
• Design, evaluate, and optimize production processes, layouts, and material flow to maximize throughput and minimize waste.
• Develop and maintain labor standards, capacity models, and production schedules.
• Develop simulation models to evaluate process changes, capacity expansions, and new product introductions.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis and develop business cases for capital projects, equipment purchases, and process changes.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by defining processes, tooling requirements, and labor standards.
• Mentor teammates and partner with quality, maintenance, supply chain, and production to resolve issues.
