Job summary

Red Dot Corporation is seeking an Industrial Engineer to lead process improvement within our on-site manufacturing environment in Puyallup, WA. You will drive Lean Six Sigma projects, optimize production layouts, and develop labor standards while collaborating with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Operations leadership.

The role requires 3–5 years in industrial engineering, Green Belt certification, CAD proficiency, and strong data analysis and project-management skills to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification; strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, Power BI).
• Experience with ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle, Plex, or similar).
• Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across functions and levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement projects from problem definition through implementation and sustainment.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools (DMAIC, SMED, Kanban, SPC) to solve complex problems.
• Design, evaluate, and optimize production processes, layouts, and material flow.
• Develop labor standards, capacity models, and production schedules with precision.
• Develop simulation models to evaluate process changes and capacity expansions.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis and business cases for capital projects.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by defining processes, tooling, and labor standards.
• Mentor teammates and provide technical guidance.
