Job summary

ReaderLink is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize a high-volume distribution network in Romeoville, IL. You will own the Labor Management System, lead DC productivity initiatives, and partner with operations on capacity modeling and system integration (Blue Yonder LMS).

The role requires hands-on data analysis, cross-functional influence, and on-floor engagement in a fast-paced environment. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience is required.
• 3–5 years of business planning experience is required.
• Minimum 2 years with Blue Yonder (BY), including WMS/LMS data structures and reporting.
• Proficient in Excel and Visio; AutoCAD for facility layout is preferred.
• SQL knowledge for in-depth operational analysis.
• Lean principles and simulation software experience.
• Strong communication across all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Own and advance the Labor Management System development and deployment.
• Improve productivity and manage system performance in warehouses.
• Maintain facility drawings in AutoCAD; publish capacity reports.
• Lead slotting optimization and DC network strategies to cut costs.
• Develop SOPs and a Visual Factory with 6S and visual controls.
• Support labor planning models across multiple facilities.
• Analyze DC data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
