Job summary

Andersen Corporation is seeking an Industrial Engineer at our Bayport, MN location to drive continuous improvement and design integrated systems of people, equipment, and materials. The ideal candidate brings 5–10 years of IE experience and a 4-year IE degree, with strong Lean/Six Sigma skills and a passion for operational excellence.

Located in Bayport, this role collaborates with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering Technology.
• 5–10 years of Industrial Engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and other CI methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Utilize lean process design techniques to optimize overall system performance.
• Assess current and future capacity requirements using value stream mapping and capacity planning.
• Identify areas of opportunity by analyzing data and conducting thorough evaluations.
• Identify causes of process variation and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement pull systems and parts presentation strategies to improve productivity.
• Rapidly document current state to establish baselines for improvements.
• Perform data analysis and reporting to monitor performance and drive decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Mentor and train team members on Lean principles and CI methodologies.
• Oversee multiple projects concurrently and ensure timely completion.
• Lead root cause analyses and drive sustainable improvements.
• Foster a culture of innovation by adopting new technologies.
