Andersen Corporation in Bayport, Minnesota seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern to learn and contribute within our Engineering organization, supporting manufacturing, automation, process improvement, and equipment reliability initiatives.

Interns will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operations teams to solve challenges while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A related Bachelor's degree is pursued, with strong coursework and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• GPA 3.0 preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical circuits and automation.
• Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, Visio) and Office apps.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical and controls engineering projects.
• Update machine control systems to improve performance.
• Assist PLC, HMI, sensor, and automation troubleshooting.
• Analyze downtime and implement improvements for efficiency.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
• Create and update SOPs and engineering work instructions.
• Participate in process mapping and continuous improvement.
