Job summary

Andersen Corporation seeks an engineering professional to provide manufacturing line support in Cottage Grove, MN. You will monitor, control, and improve existing processes to meet customer and business needs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with operations, quality, and maintenance, problem-solving, and documentation of procedures. A 4-year technical degree and solid modeling skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 4-year technical degree or equivalent combination of formalized technical education and experience.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Clear communication through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCAD/Inventor).

Responsibilities

• Provide operational technical support for existing applications and processes.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, engineering, and maintenance to solve issues.
• Troubleshoot problems with other technical employees, suppliers, and outside experts.
• Create training tools, documents, and standard operating procedures for production processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and events.
• Present technical information or proposals to team members.
• Offer assistance/mentor for less experienced technical employees.
• Conduct testing related to introducing product improvements into the manufacturing process.
• Perform complex analyses using quality tools and lab techniques.
• Act as a team member on larger-scale projects with defined task ownership.
• Take full responsibility for small-scale expense or capital projects.
• Estimate project schedules, resource needs, and costs.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for functional areas or projects.
• Engage in continuous education and skill development.
• Design, build, and test models or prototypes.
• Demonstrate how technology solutions meet customer requirements.
