Job summary

Hodge Company is seeking an Industrial Engineer I to act as the onsite engineer for the Dubuque location and support multiple warehouse operations with a focus on process optimization and standard engineering tasks.

You will lead warehouse layout enhancements, drive continuous improvement initiatives, perform root cause analyses, and oversee capital equipment maintenance. Strong data analysis and Lean Six Sigma knowledge are valued for driving safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; experience or pursuing such degree.
• Proficiency in data analysis and relevant software tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a team and drive change.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Experience in warehouse layout design and continuous improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Warehouse Layout and Design: Analyze layouts and propose improvements to space utilization and efficiency.
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis of warehouse issues and develop corrective actions.
• Evaluate and oversee maintenance of capital equipment for warehouse operations.
• Conduct Time Studies to forecast workforce and equipment needs.
• Develop data extraction methods and track KPIs for process improvements.
• Uphold safety and compliance standards in warehouse operations.
• Demonstrate Hodge values in daily work and policies.
