Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing and warehouse operations using core IE methods, time studies, line balancing, and ergonomics. The position emphasizes Lean/CI tools and warehouse engineering standards to improve flow, safety, and cost efficiency.

The role involves developing labor standards, layout design in production and storage areas, and leading Kaizen events while monitoring KPIs such as OEE and lead time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years in manufacturing or warehouse environments applying IE principles.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel/Minitab, ERP/WMS systems.
• Knowledge of Lean tools, warehouse slotting, and engineered standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineered labor standards (stopwatch studies, MOST, MTM) and capacity analysis to improve throughput and reduce waste.
• Design optimized layouts for production cells, material handling, and warehouse using AutoCAD.
• Apply facility planning principles for space utilization and flow efficiency.
• Design and establish aisle space standards based on equipment and load type; ensure OSHA/ANSI compliance.
• Analyze and improve warehouse processes: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
• Implement slotting optimization for high-frequency items to improve picking efficiency.
