Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Melbourne, FL is seeking an Industrial Engineer I – Manufacturing Operations to evaluate and improve processes for electronic assemblies, applying LEAN principles to boost quality and throughput.

You will perform time studies, develop PFMEAs, balance lines, design fixtures, and support production with tooling and process improvements, while ensuring safety and efficient plant operations onsite.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Drive manufacturing process improvements across multiple assembly process steps.
• Perform time studies to maintain standard timings used for operator productivity calculations, and to aid with staffing analyses.
• Identify opportunities to remove waste from processes and reduce standard times.
• Support Production Build Operators with immediate needs on Tooling and Processes to meet production schedule.
• Utilize drafting/modeling SW to design and implement new fixtures for process improvement.
