Job summary

RTX in Wilsonville, OR seeks an Industrial Engineer to support cost control, productivity improvements, and production readiness for vision systems and sensors across commercial and military programs.

Candidates should have a STEM bachelor's and hands-on experience with VBA, Minitab, SolidWorks/AutoCAD, and 3D printing, plus DOE and PFMEA proficiency. Prior aerospace exposure is valued; on-site collaboration is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Chemical or Electrical Engineering, or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience/expertise in applications such as, VBA for Excel, Minitab data analysis tools, SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and 3D print environments.
• Prior experience in the aerospace industry, including exposure to optical display systems and their applications.
• Proficient in gage studies, Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
• May assist facilities engineers (planning and design of facilities) and materials logistics (packaging design).
• Under guidance from senior engineers assists in:
• Establishing the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow.
• Planning the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings.
• Planning the allocation of resources, materials and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.
