Job summary

RTX is seeking an Industrial Engineer to model factory operations, optimize throughput, and lead cross-functional initiatives across production lines. The role emphasizes applying Lean and Six Sigma to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets.

Responsibilities include proposing infrastructure improvements, coordinating with teams on new product integration, and enhancing safety and ergonomics within the work cells. A STEM degree with substantial experience is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM and 6–8 years of relevant experience.
  • Industrial Engineering tools and methods: Lean, capacity modeling, facility design, process optimization.
  • Ability to obtain interim DoD clearance and ATF clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Model factory operations with process flows, value stream maps, Pareto charts, CAD drawings.
  • Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
  • Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve efficiency, cost, quality and on-time delivery.
  • Draft infrastructure improvement proposals and plan integration of new products, technologies, and equipment.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to address obsolescence and improve factory performance.
  • Support new production contracts and product integration efforts.
  • Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics.
