The role is remote with potential site visits to Upington, Northern Cape, and will focus on warehousing facility layout, material flow optimization, and ergonomic improvements.

You will use CAD tools and simulation software to model designs, develop SOPs, and collaborate with operations, IT, and construction teams to implement efficient, safe, scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of industrial engineering with facility layout, design, and optimization.
• Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD) and simulation tools (Arena/AnyLogic).
• Strong knowledge of warehousing operations, material handling, and supply chain logistics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Legal eligibility to work in South Africa.

About the Role

Our client, a growing logistics and distribution company operating across the Northern Cape, is seeking an Industrial Engineer specializing in Facility Design to join their team, based remotely but with potential site visits to Upington, Northern Cape . This role will focus on the design, layout optimization, and efficiency of warehousing and distribution facilities. The successful candidate will utilize industrial engineering principles to create optimal material flow, storage solutions, and operational workflows within facilities. We are looking for a creative and analytical engineer with experience in facility layout and design, simulation, and ergonomics. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong understanding of warehousing operations, material handling systems, and supply chain logistics.
• Knowledge of ergonomics and workplace safety standards.
