Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer for our Randburg operation. The role focuses on improving service delivery workflows, resource allocation, and safety through engineering analysis and process optimization.

You will design layouts, map processes, run simulations, and develop SOPs while mentoring teams and tracking KPIs to drive cost efficiency and quality. A bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and 4+ years’ experience are required.

About the Role

Our client, a leading facilities management and services provider, is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer to join their team in Randburg, Gauteng . This role is crucial for optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of their operational facilities, encompassing everything from service delivery workflows to resource allocation. The successful candidate will apply engineering principles to analyze existing operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current facility operations, including service delivery, resource management, and logistical flows, to identify inefficiencies.
• Develop and implement process improvements and operational strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs.
• Design and optimize facility layouts and workflows to maximize productivity and safety.
• Utilize data analysis and modeling techniques to forecast operational needs and resource requirements.
• Collaborate with operations managers, site supervisors, and frontline staff to implement engineered solutions.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for optimized operational processes.
• Implement and manage performance metrics (KPI)s to monitor operational effectiveness.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed operational changes.
• Ensure all operational processes comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Train and mentor operational teams on new processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on operations and facilities management or service delivery optimization.
• Proven track record of implementing successful process improvements in operational environments.
• Strong understanding of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and simulation tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
