Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Industrial Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA to join our team. The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and focused on team empowerment with a culture of automation.

You will analyze operations, develop metrics, optimize product flow, and align SAP/MRP with executable plans. On-site work is required, occasional travel, and a commitment to ethics and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years industrial engineering or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with SQL, Python, VBA, or other programming languages.
• Experience with Tableau or other reporting software.
• Experience monitoring, scheduling, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server database.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes Data Analytics to analyze existing operational processes and develop metrics and reporting to optimize and improve program & operational performance.
• Creates new metrics and data visualizations to monitor shop floor performance.
• Analyzes lead times, queue times, work-in-process, cycle times, and throughput to meet customer demand most effectively and efficiently.
• Builds scalable and sustainable models to optimize product flow, while incorporating cost, schedule, and resource constraints.
• Develop optimized scheduling tools and align SAP/MRP systems with an executable plan given various capacity constraints.
