Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Industrial Engineer or Industrial Engineer to join the Production Engineering & Operations team in Palmdale, CA. The role focuses on development of production build schedules, frontline problem solving, and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for T02, or BS with 1 year of IE experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government clearance (citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Develop and iterate on detail production build schedules with Development and Production Operations.
• Support manufacturing floor by addressing frontline problems with cross-functional teams.
• Use Continuous Improvement tools to reduce waste, cut costs, increase capacity and optimize schedules.
• Collaborate with frontline leadership to define future state improvements.
• Provide training to frontline leaders and shop floor personnel to generate value.
