Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA invites undergraduate and graduate students to join its Aeronautics Systems Intern Program as Industrial Engineers for Summer 2027.

You will work in Production Engineering & Operations, supporting the IE team with hands-on tasks such as constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, testing equipment, following engineering drawings, and reporting data. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance, and the internship runs for about 10 weeks full-time.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate or graduate student and graduating after August 2027.
• Majoring in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related STEM degree.
• Able to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain security clearance as required.

Responsibilities

• Support Production Engineering & Operations within the IE team.
• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment.
• Work from engineering drawings and instructions; report data in prescribed format.
• Prepare components and solutions as directed.
