Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Michigan is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize labor planning and cycle times in Final Assembly. You will partner with engineering, production, and skilled trades to build safe, efficient manufacturing operations and support new model launches.

You will analyze processes, conduct time studies, apply lean principles, and lead workstation changes while collaborating with plant functions and labor representatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing plant environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive labor planning and cycle time optimization for vehicle programs.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead workstation layout changes, balance workloads, and document processes.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality and other plant functions to resolve issues.
• Work with UAW representatives to address labor methods and compliance.
• Support staffing, line speed changes, and readiness for new model launches.
