Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven Industrial Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations at our commercial lawn equipment facility in Brillion, WI. This role focuses on improving production efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing quality through data-driven analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean manufacturing, process engineering, and ergonomics, with a passion for driving operational excellence in a serial production environment.
The day to day
- Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
- Design and implement lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, and value stream mapping
- Develop time studies, work measurement systems, and labor standards to improve productivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain) to resolve bottlenecks and improve throughput
- Evaluate and optimize plant layout, material flow, and workstation ergonomics
- Support new product introductions by designing efficient manufacturing processes and tooling requirements
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to guide decision-making
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for production inefficiencies
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all engineering activities
- Train and mentor production staff on process improvements and best practices
- Manage engineering support for serial production lines, ensuring consistent quality and output
- Oversee process control and optimization for finished goods assembly, packaging, and delivery readiness
The Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field Minimum 3 years' experience in an Industrial Engineering role
- Proficiency in CAD software, simulation tools, and data analysis platforms ("e.g., Excel, Power BI, Minitab")
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in metal fabrication, assembly lines
