Job summary

AriensCo in Brillion, WI seeks a motivated Manufacturing Leader to oversee daily operations of the assigned department, coach the team, and drive lean initiatives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will develop people, plan staffing and coordinate with other departments to meet production schedules, focusing on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Bachelor’s preferred; minimum 3 years leadership in manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching and development of people.
  • Working knowledge of Lean tools (6S, Kaizen) and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production operations, including scheduling, staffing, training and safety compliance.
  • Coach and develop team members; conduct performance evaluations and administer corrective action as needed.
  • Coordinate activities to meet schedules; improve overall equipment effectiveness and reduce lead times.
  • Foster teamwork across departments to improve productivity and quality.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing activities to reduce waste and improve processes.
  • Perform special assignments as required.

Job Description

A motivated and passionate Manufacturing Leader will be responsible for leading and planning daily manufacturing operations of assigned department to ensure continuous production and delivery of products consistent with customer requirements and established departmental, plant, and company goals. This person will coach and develop the team, oversee safety of team members, ensure quality standards are met, and lead various lean manufacturing efforts within the facility to drive best-in-class operational performance.

THE DAY TO DAY
  • Responsible for daily operations on the production floor, including scheduling, staffing, training and troubleshooting to ensure that all operations are in full compliance and meet or exceed safety guidelines
  • Motivate and lead team members: provide coaching and development opportunities; monitor success through documented periodic work performance evaluations and enact corrective action, as required
  • Coordinate departmental activities to meet manufacturing schedules, and take positive action to increase overall equipment effectiveness, achieve Takt time, and reduce lead time
  • Role model and encourage teamwork: work with inter- and intra-departmental staff to improve productivity and quality standards in order to meet customer requirements
  • Participate in various lean manufacturing activities to improve products, reduce waste, or learn new skills or operations
  • Perform special assignments and/or duties as required
THE QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience with demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with people, projects and issues
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching and development of people
  • Working knowledge of Lean tools (6S, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
