Job summary

AriensCo in Fayetteville, TN seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to analyze tooling and process requirements for new products and engineering changes, maintain process data, coordinate trials, and identify efficiency, quality, and safety improvements.

You will work with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to implement improvements, study data, and develop training and standard work documentation for future growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing role.
  • Solid Works or equivalent CAD experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical drawings and documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and implement continuous improvement projects.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze tooling and process steps for engineering changes and new products.
  • Set up/revise process data, time studies, and prototype parts to obtain accurate data.
  • Coordinate process trials for changed or new products, including packaging.
  • Interpret quality data and determine actions for operations.
  • Research new processes and best-practice methods for tasks and packaging.
  • Collaborate with NPD Engineering and Operations to implement best practices.
  • Provide training and create standard work documentation.
  • Proactively address safety, productivity, and quality issues.

Job Description

AriensCo is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician at our Fayetteville, TN location to support manufacturing operations by analyzing tooling and process requirements for new products and engineering changes, maintaining process and labor data, coordinating process trials, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. This role partners closely with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to implement process improvements, research new manufacturing methods, interpret production and quality data, develop training and standard work documentation, and proactively solve technical and operational challenges that support continuous improvement and future growth.

The day to day...

Analyze needed tooling and process steps for all engineering changes and new products

Setup/revise process data: Including information about on time and material usage to produce the various parts involving to perform time studies or even produce some prototype parts to get accurate data to enter Study’s existing process and designs and executes experiments/tests looking to improve efficiency (a new tool, change to a build order, adding or deleting a task or step)

Coordinates Process Trials on any changed or new product has a process as part of its launch, to include packaging

Interprets data from the quality reports and determines needed actions to operations

Research’s new process and investigates new ways to do our tasks, research out how other companies process similar parts to find the best solution, to include packaging and safe handling techniques

Works with NPD Engineering and Operations to recommend best practice procedures and techniques in producing parts or products

Training and documenting: Working with the manufacturing teams operators in a particular task or how a piece of equipment works and may document a process, creating a training aid/standard work for a process

The manufacturing engineering technician will be proactive in problem solving and will be involved in safety, productivity, quality and future state planning events

The qualifications...
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing role
  • Demonstrate ability to lead and implement continuous improvement projects in order to achieve value stream goals
  • Solid Works or equivalent CAD experience preferred
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail and be able to integrate new and old equipment designs and layouts
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, CAD drawings, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to employees, management, and/or public groups
  • Ability to define problems; collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, or drawing form; and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
