Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Lean Process Improvement Specialist to optimize assembly lines in our manufacturing environment. The role focuses on time studies, line balancing, and value stream mapping to reduce waste and improve throughput.

Responsibilities include developing current and future state maps, identifying bottlenecks, and creating actionable roadmaps with Kaizen-style improvements. On-site work in Wisconsin is required.

Qualifications

• Experience applying Lean principles to manufacturing processes.
• Ability to perform time studies and line balancing.
• Experience with VSM and process improvement roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Study Assembly Lines/ Processes and identify areas for improvement as per Lean Principles.
• Perform time study and line balancing across stations and operators, including VA/NVA/RNVA analysis and current-state balancing.
• Develop current and future state Value Stream Maps, identify bottlenecks and wastes, perform capacity analysis.
• Identify process and productivity improvements with multi-level improvement plans and roadmaps.
• Develop and rewrite standard work and video work instructions.
• Analyze root causes of quality issues and support corrective actions and Kaizen with implementation plans.
• Support fixture design as required.

Job description

• Study Assembly Lines/ Processes and identify areas for improvement as per Lean Principles
• Perform Time Study and Line Balancing - Elemental breakdown, Video Time study– All Processes (Stations & Operator), VA/NVA/RNVA analysis, Develop Current State Line Balancing, Muri Analysis
• Develop Value Stream Mapping - Current State VSM - Identify bottlenecks, wastes and inefficiencies, Capacity analysis and Current baselining, Future State VSM, Current state vs Future state
• Identify Process and productivity improvement opportunities for entire process with Level 1,2,3 improvement suggestions report and roadmap
• Develop/ re-write Standard work instructions, Video work instructions
• Analysis of Root Cause for the quality failures, defects, downtimes etc., and support in corrective action & Kaizen / improvement identification with detailed implementation plan
• Support in Fixture design as per requirements.
