Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Appleton, WI is seeking a manufacturing/process improvement specialist to study assembly lines and identify lean-based improvements. You will perform time studies, line balancing, and value stream mapping to reduce bottlenecks and wastes.

The role focuses on developing current and future state improvements, root-cause analysis for quality issues, and supporting Kaizen events with actionable implementation plans and updated standard work instructions.

Qualifications

• Experience applying lean principles to assembly lines and processes.
• Ability to conduct time studies and line balancing analyses.
• Experience with Value Stream Mapping (current and future state).
• Background in identifying bottlenecks and wastes and proposing actionable improvements.

Responsibilities

• Study assembly lines and identify lean-based improvements.
• Perform Time Study, Line Balancing, and VA/NVA/RNVA analyses; develop Current State Line Balancing and Muri analysis.
• Develop Value Stream Mapping (Current State and Future State) and identify bottlenecks and wastes.
• Propose Level 1–3 improvement suggestions with roadmaps and implementation plans.
• Develop/rewrite Standard Work Instructions; create Video Work Instructions.
• Analyze root causes of quality failures and support corrective actions and Kaizen improvements with detailed plans.
• Support fixture design as per requirements.

Job description

• Study assembly lines/processes and identify areas for improvement as per lean principles.
• Perform Time Study and Line Balancing-Elemental breakdown, Video Time study–All Processes (Stations & Operator), VA/NVA/RNVA analysis, Develop Current State Line Balancing, Muri Analysis
• Develop Value Stream Mapping-Current State VSM-Identify bottlenecks, wastes and inefficiencies, Capacity analysis and Current baselining, Future State VSM, Current state vs Future state
• Identify Process and productivity improvement opportunities for entire process with Level 1,2,3 improvement suggestions report and roadmap
• Develop/ re-write Standard work instructions, Video work instructions
• Analysis of Root Cause for the quality failures, defects, downtimes etc., and support in corrective action & Kaizen / improvement identification with detailed implementation plan
• Support in Fixture design as per requirements.
