Job summary

HEICO in Florida is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support production process improvement by analyzing work flow to improve efficiencies. You will drive cost out through process improvements and standard work instructions while advancing ergonomics and waste elimination.

You will work with our lean team to optimize process flow, develop and maintain planning systems, perform time studies, and apply PFMEA mindset across operations to reduce costs and improve outputs.

Qualifications

• Experience in production process improvement and cost reduction.
• Ability to conduct time studies and level-load manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PFMEA mindset and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Designs, redesigns or enhances work areas and layouts with respect for ergonomics and waste elimination.
• Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods and trends and developments in technology and equipment.

• Implements methods and modifications to reduce production costs.
• Performs time studies to level load the manufacturing process.
• Implements PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis) mindset and process for our operators.
• Work across the organization to solve problems related to process outputs
• Develops, implements and communicates best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
