Job summary

PPG is hiring an Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist at our Grand Prairie, TX facility. You will diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems, read schematics, and translate them into action on a daily basis.

The role requires at least 3 years in industrial maintenance, coordination with production to minimize downtime, and strict safety practices; you will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and assist with installation of new assets, while

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic domains.
• Hands-on experience with test and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work from technical drawings and documentation.
• Detail-oriented problem solver with urgency.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and repair industrial machinery.
• Use diagnostic tools to pinpoint faults and restore performance.
• Execute preventive maintenance to reduce failures and downtime.
• Interpret manuals and schematics to plan work and verify results.
• Coordinate maintenance windows with production to minimize interruption.
• Document all work performed and report equipment condition and trends.
• Enforce safety practices, including PPE and lock-out/tag-out.
• Assist installation and commissioning of new or upgraded assets.
• Lead and contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and SkyTrac safely and efficiently.
• Fabricate repair parts as needed for timely fixes.
• Communicate status and next steps; maintain an orderly shop.
