Job summary

MSI Express, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Grand Prairie, TX to troubleshoot, repair and maintain complex equipment in a food manufacturing setting.

You will follow electrical schematics, use CMMS to document work orders, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. You will handle electrical and mechanical systems from 5VDC to 480 VAC, repair gearboxes, weld components, and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and packaging lines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Strong written documentation and report skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Minimum of high school diploma; 2+ years industrial experience preferred.
• Experience in food manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance on drives, belts, fluids, and filters.
• Document work orders and repairs in CMMS via mobile device.
• Troubleshoots and maintains motors, pneumatics, PLCs, touch screens, and conveyors.
• Works with electrical systems from 5VDC to 480 VAC; safety circuits.
• Reads blueprints and repair manuals for parts and wiring diagrams.
• Teardowns and rebuilds gearboxes, clutches, actuators as needed.
• Records damaged parts and ensures accurate inventory adjustments.
• Uses hand and power tools including calipers, micrometers, drills, grinders.
• Welds with MIG/TIG/arc techniques for repairs and fabrications.
• Troubleshoots HVAC systems when necessary and follows safety policies.
