Maine Woods Company, a leading hardwood lumber manufacturer in Portage Lake, Maine, seeks a skilled electrician to install and maintain electrical systems across sawmill operations. The role supports production by diagnosing issues, reading schematics, and performing repairs to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of industrial experience, strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, and a willingness to work overtime. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years industrial experience (sawmill a plus).
• Trade/vocational education preferred.
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize.
• Willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and components.
• Run conduit, wiring, and power supply for equipment.
• Diagnose and repair motors, transformers, relays, switches.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and automated equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Assist with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.
• Read schematics and blueprints.
