Job summary

Coushatta Forest Products seeks a skilled Electrician in Coushatta, LA to install, maintain and repair electrical systems across industrial settings. You will read blueprints, wire machinery, and ensure compliance with NEC and OSHA safety standards.

The role requires 1–3 years of industrial electrician experience, apprenticeship completion preferred, and a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship. Some travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years experience as an industrial electrician, prefer sawmill/manufacturing.
• Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred).
• Experience with electrical wiring, power distribution, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures per codes and safety standards.
• Diagnose and fix faults in PLCs, drives, sensors, and MCCs under production deadlines.
• Wire sawmill machinery, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and lighting per blueprints and codes.
• Follow LOTO, NFPA 70E, and OSHA regulations in heavy industrial environments.
• Recommend upgrades to improve electrical systems and processes.
