Job summary

Plain Dealing Lumber is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to maintain and repair electrical systems across its sawmill and planer operations in Plain Dealing, LA. The role requires diagnosing issues, reading schematics, and coordinating with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in industrial electrical work, NEC/NFPA70E knowledge, and a valid Louisiana license or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical apprenticeship or technical training preferred.
• Valid electrician certification or Louisiana license or ability to obtain.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial electrician experience in sawmill/heavy manufacturing.
• Strong NEC and NFPA 70E knowledge with experience in motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and industrial controls.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment across the facility.
• Diagnose electrical issues involving PLCs, controls, sensors, and motor drives.
• Read schematics/blueprints and support installation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
