Job summary

Adecco Manchester is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on industrial machinery. This role troubleshoots equipment, performs preventative maintenance, and minimizes downtime while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The position requires 5+ years of electrical experience, PLC/drive expertise, reading drawings, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical and controls experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLCs, AC/DC drives, and industrial control systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Troubleshoot using electrical meters and other testing equipment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn maintenance software.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial machinery and electrical systems.
• Work with PLCs, AC/DC drives, motor controls, and other control equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment.
• Install and replace electrical and electronic components.
• Perform basic wiring and conduit work.
• Use electrical meters and other troubleshooting equipment.
• Complete work orders and maintenance records.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and order parts as needed.
• Assist with equipment upgrades and installation projects.
