Job summary

Interfor is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician at the Monticello, AR sawmill to maintain and optimize electrical and control systems. You will read schematics, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot PLCs, drives, motors, and other automation components to minimize downtime.

The role emphasizes safety and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, with shift work requirements and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience or a related technical degree.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs, drives, motors, and control systems.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and call-ins.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repair and improvement projects throughout the mill.
• Read schematics, equipment drawings, and blueprints.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, AC drives, motors, and other control systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to lock-out policy and isolate equipment before work.
• Plan and manage work assignments with limited supervision.
• Submit work requests and complete work orders with details.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
