Job summary

Thompson Construction Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrician Helper to plan, install, and repair wiring and control equipment per customer specs and blueprints. You will work under supervision to route wiring, assemble conduit, and ensure safety across construction sites.

Qualified candidates have a Construction Electrician Course or equivalent field experience, with ability to read plans, perform basic math, and pass location-specific background checks. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Completed Construction Electrician Course or 3+ years as Electrician Helper.
May require state/local certifications and ability to read plans.
Ability to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor and welder.
Must pass background/drug tests per location requirements.

Responsibilities

Plan installations to minimize waste and ensure code compliance.
Follow blueprints and install wiring before walls, ceilings, or floors are finished.
Measure, cut, bend, and assemble conduit with basic tooling.
Pull wiring, splice leads, and terminate wiring with caps or soldering.
Connect wiring to lighting, power equipment, and panels.
Test circuit continuity for safety and compatibility.
Observe equipment operation and adjust or relocate as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
