Qualifications

• Completed Construction Electrician Course at a technical or trade school.
• 1 year of field experience or 3 years as Electrician Helper in the field.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly with supervisor and others.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, bend, reach and work in various environments.
• Candidate may be required to pass a drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Plan installations to minimize waste and hazards according to code and blueprints.
• Follow blueprints ensuring wiring is installed before walls, ceilings or floors are completed.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread and assemble conduit with hand tools.
• Pull wiring through conduit, splice wires and connect to equipment and panels.
• Test continuity of circuits to ensure safety and compatibility.
• Observe equipment operation and determine need for adjustments or replacements.
