Job summary

Fireclay Tile in Spokane, WA is seeking an Industrial Electrician II to join our Maintenance team. You will perform proactive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical equipment, and repair high-speed lines, conveyors, kilns, pumps, and related systems on a grave shift with a 20% differential.

You will work with PLC/HMI software, read schematics, install sensors and actuators, and document work orders in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or continuous-production environment.
• Working knowledge of PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) with the ability to troubleshoot I/O signals.
• Familiarity with heat control loops (temperature controllers, SCRs, thermocouples) and electrical actuators.
• Proficiency wiring 3-phase motors, VFDs, control panels, and industrial sensors.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical components (motors, starters, VFDs, relays, sensors) and perform routine preventive/corrective maintenance on high-speed equipment.
• PLC & Automation Support: Assist with PLC and HMI troubleshooting using software to monitor I/O status and trace control faults.
• Instrumentation & Controls: Install, test, and replace temperature sensors, heat controllers, actuators, and 4-20mA/0-10V components.
• Schematics & Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, P&IDs to diagnose issues.
• Cross-Functional Maintenance: Diagnose basic mechanical issues on production lines (drives, pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic valves).
• Safety & Compliance: Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, LOTO protocols, Arc Flash standards.
• Equipment Operation & Documentation: Log work orders, parts used, and equipment history in CMMS.
