Job summary

SPX Technologies is hiring an Electrician I to join our growing team at the Madison, AL campus. You will assemble electrical systems on manufactured products and report to the Maintenance Manager. The role supports safety, sustainability, and development through special projects.

Responsibilities include wiring, conduit work, lighting installation, testing, and preventive maintenance, with opportunities to contribute to new manufacturing cells and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 2+ years installing, testing, and troubleshooting high/low voltage systems.
• NFPA 70E Arc Flash and OSHA 10/30 certifications.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC circuits, PLCs, VFDs, testing tools.
• Interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Preferred PLC troubleshooting/programming experience.
• Safety-focused, team player, and OSH-compliant.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation of electrical equipment within assembled product.
• Install conduits and perform pipe bending; EIMT/conduit/rigid.
• Install lighting fixtures within assembled product.
• Install high/low voltage electrical and control assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and function test electrical systems on products.
• Perform planned, predictive, and unplanned maintenance on machinery.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with updating maintenance software records.
• Support development of new manufacturing cells.
