Job summary

Turner Industries is hiring an Electrician in the Alpharetta, GA area to plan layouts, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures and control equipment. The Electrician position is non-exempt; reports to the Foreman; assigned duties according to procedures / work is checked frequently.

Essential qualifications include High school diploma or equivalent, 1–4 years of experience, knowledge of electrician's tools, and NCCER certification for A-class Electricians.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent
• 1–4 years of experience in the skill (mechanic level dependent)
• Knowledge of electrician's tools and how to use them
• Work on or above 600V or 69kV requires qualification
• Most sites require NCCER certification for A-class Electricians
• Post offer drug/alcohol screen and safety policy acceptance
• Comply with site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct health/safety threat

Responsibilities

• Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials
• Provide access for future maintenance and avoid hazardous wiring
• Prepare sketches or follow diagrams for wiring and equipment
• Install electrical conduit, pull wiring, splice connections
• Install control and distribution devices and panels
• Test circuit continuity and ensure safety
• May repair faulty equipment or systems
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
