Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a skilled technician to safely operate and maintain LACT, terminal, and rail loading equipment. You will handle pumps, meters, valves, transmitters, and flow computers, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

The role requires strong electrical repair experience, instrument knowledge, and the ability to program control systems. On-call shifts, weather exposure, and heavy lifting are part of the job, with on-site work at facilities.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical repair with proficiency in instrument systems, gas detection, process analyzers, control valves, motor controls, relay logic, fiber optics, and pressure/flow measurement.
  • Knowledge of national electrical codes.
  • Ability to understand equipment manuals, specification sheets, P&IDs, and loop sheets.

Responsibilities

  • Operate PRT assets safely and efficiently.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate with supervision and office personnel on operational topics.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on control, measurement, and instrumentation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot process equipment and instrumentation.
  • Repair process equipment including meters, valves, transmitters, and valve actuators.
  • Calibrate transmitters and valve actuators.
  • Program flow control computers and process control systems on LACTS and rail rack.
  • Assist maintenance technicians with other maintenance and repair duties.
  • Maintain records of all related work.
  • Complete inspections and reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Communicate with third-party contractors when working around the facility.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work with little supervision.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
  • Identify and report safety/regulatory concerns per policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
