Job summary

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to support construction, plant facilities, and field operations. The role involves repairing, installing, and maintaining control systems, SCADA, and related equipment across gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The position requires expertise with PLCs/DCS, instrumentation, and safety devices, along with adherence to DOT and OSHA standards. On-call duties and safety training are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associates Degree in Instrumentation is preferred.
• Experience with control systems and instrumentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems for plant, pipeline, and compressor stations.
• Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments and motor control gear.
• Work with PLCs/DCS and safety controls.
• Read manuals, drawings, and schematics; follow regulations and procedures.
• Perform testing and calibration of control devices and document results.
• Participate in on-call rotations and safety programs.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to less experienced staff.
