Job summary

Arconic Davenport seeks an Electrical Technician for the Maintenance department to diagnose and repair production equipment. You will support safety and reliability initiatives across the plant, including direct-fire furnaces and allied control systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, training operators, and developing SOPs. Expect exposure to Allen-Bradley PLCs, RSLogix, and variable speed drives; typical hours are 7am–4pm with off-shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; apprenticeship or degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ electrical experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to pass an electrical proficiency exam.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace by following EHS policies and leading by example.
• Provide technical support on planned and unplanned equipment breakdowns; support equipment like Direct Fire melt furnaces; advise on PLCs and drives.
• Train and mentor Unit Supervisors and craftspeople to improve technical skills.
• Support the Lead Operator process and upskill crafts people.
• Lead development of SOPs, WIP processes, and related procedures; train others.
