Job summary

Arconic Davenport Works seeks a Staff Mechanical Engineer to support the Central Maintenance department, improving safety, efficiency, and quality of plant infrastructure and manufacturing processes. You will lead mechanical system integration for area projects and work with engineers, maintenance, and production teams.

The role reports to the Central Engineering and Capex Manager and typically runs Monday–Friday daytime, with off-shift support as needed for projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience developing project business cases and project approval requests.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across organization levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project programs.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Utilize project management tools for sustaining and capital improvement projects.
• Coordinate all phases of mechanical engineering projects from concept to closure.
• Manage external vendors and contractors for design, materials, and installation.
• Focus on safety, infrastructure reliability, training, and production enhancements.
• Lead and support problem-solving for process and machine improvements.
