Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Corrigan, TX is seeking an Electrical Technician with hands-on experience in industrial settings. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems, read schematics, and work with PLCs, motors, and drives.

This role offers 10-hour shifts, five days a week with rotating weekends, and pay between $32 and $38 per hour. Onsite work with a safety-focused team and opportunities to grow technical skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of electrical experience in industrial, manufacturing, or military environments.
• Experience reading electrical schematics/blueprints.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic systems using diagnostic tools and meters.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls, PLCs, motors, motor controllers and drives.
• Knowledge of single and 3-phase up to 480V and conduit installation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems, circuits, motor controls, relay logic, AC/DC drives and low voltage switchgear.
• Install and modify industrial electrical equipment.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and perform electrical PMs.
• Repair plant machinery following diagrams and manuals.
• Communicate work performed and equipment status clearly, written and verbally.
• Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines and participate in the safety program.
