Job summary

Georgia-Pacific – Pineland Lumber seeks an experienced Electrical Technician for our Pineland, Texas mill. The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading electrical control systems to ensure peak production during a 12-hour rotating shift.

Candidates should have 2+ years in industrial settings and familiarity with 3-phase 480V systems, PLCs, schematics and VFDs. We offer safety-focused, fast-paced work with competitive compensation commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of experience as Electrical Technician in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and experience of 3 phase 480-volt electrical systems.
• Completion of 2 years of accredited electrical training program.
• PLC troubleshooting/programming knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics/blueprints.
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (Allen Bradley, Eaton, Toshiba) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical control systems, instrumentation, and circuits (motor controls, relays, drives, switchgear).
• Troubleshoot electrical systems using analytical field methods.
• Document information.
• Install and modify industrial electrical equipment.
• Perform electrical PMs on hydraulic and pneumatic machinery.
