Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician for our Pineland, TX lumber mill. This role requires rotating 12-hour shifts and entails maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical control systems and instrumentation to maximize plant uptime.

Applicants should have at least two years of industrial electrical experience, knowledge of 3-phase 480V systems, and PLC programming capabilities.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of experience as Electrical Technician in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Knowledge of 3 phase 480-volt electrical systems.
• Completion of 2 years of accredited electrical training program.
• Troubleshooting and PLC programming knowledge essential.
• Ability to learn new software and read electrical schematics/blueprints.
• Experience with VFDs (Allen-Bradley, Eaton, Toshiba) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems, instrumentation, and circuits.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems using analytical and field skills.
• Document information related to work performed.
• Install and modify industrial electrical equipment.
• Perform PMs on electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
