Job summary

Amteck, a national electrical design-build contractor, is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician for on-site work in industrial and manufacturing environments. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair electrical systems, ensuring NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards are met to support uptime and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial electrical installations.
• Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards.
• High proficiency using electrical tools and diagnostic instruments.
• Strong computer proficiency for reporting and data management.
• Knowledge of arc-flash safety and NEC/NFPA codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat and faults.
• Inspect electrical components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
• Care for lubrication and servicing of electrical equipment for reliability.
• Test power distribution systems and motors to verify function.
• Document inspections, tests, actions, and recommendations.
• Apply LOTO, arc-flash safety, and EHS integration in tasks.
