Job summary

Amteck, a national electrical design-build contractor, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments, ensuring reliability and safety in uptime-critical facilities.

You will work with power distribution equipment, motors, and controls, follow NFPA 70B and NETA standards, document findings, and uphold our safety culture through LOTO and arc-flash practices while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution and industrial installations.
• Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards.
• High proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments and testing equipment.
• Interpret and apply arc‑flash safety procedures.
• Knowledge of NEC rules and OSHA, NFPA 70E safety requirements.
• Strong scheduling and reporting skills for maintenance activities.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing in accordance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs and NETA standards.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat signatures and faults.
• Complete visual inspections of electrical components, wiring and connections for wear or damage.
• Clean, lubricate and service electrical equipment to ensure performance and longevity.
• Test power distribution systems, controls and motors to verify functionality.
• Assess equipment condition and operating environments to identify risks and improvements.
• Apply safety procedures including LOTO, arc-flash awareness and reviewing arc-flash studies.
• Support EHS initiatives and integrate safe work practices into tasks.
• Maintain documentation of inspections, results, actions and recommendations.
• Communicate with customers, supervisors and team members regarding work and equipment condition.
• Enforce company safety program and site safety requirements.
