Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. You will ensure compliance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards to support uptime and safety.

Responsibilities include infrared thermography, inspections, electrical testing, and maintaining thorough documentation. Travel may be up to 100% as needed to service facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance
• Strong understanding of power distribution and industrial installations
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies
• Proficient with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment
• Interpret arc-flash studies and safety protocols
• Extensive knowledge of NEC rules and OSHA/NFPA 70E safety requirements
• Strong scheduling and reporting skills
• Clear written and verbal communication, customer interaction

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults
• Inspect electrical components for wear, contamination or damage
• Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment for reliability
• Test power distribution systems, control gear, and motors for proper function
• Assess equipment and environment to identify maintenance risks and improvements
• Enforce safety programs including LOTO and arc-flash safety
• Maintain documentation of inspections, results, actions, and recommendations
• Communicate work status and equipment condition to customers and team
• Travel as needed (up to 100%) for field service and training
