Job summary

Amteck, a national electrical design-build contractor, is seeking Electrical Maintenance Technicians to support industrial facilities by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems. You will ensure uptime and safety while adhering to NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial settings, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to document results, coordinate with teams, and follow strict safety protocols

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an industrial electrical maintenance setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
• Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies aligned with standards.
• Proficient with diagnostic instruments and testing equipment.
• Familiarity with arc-flash safety protocols and NEC/NFPA codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat and faults.
• Inspect electrical components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
• Service power distribution equipment, motors, and controls to ensure reliability and uptime.
• Document inspections, test results, corrective actions, and recommendations.
• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout and arc-flash awareness.
• Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members.
