Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. You will ensure compliance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards, while maintaining reliability and safety of facility electrical infrastructure.

You will handle power distribution equipment, motors, and control systems, conducting infrared thermography and regular inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial electrical maintenance setting (5+ years)
• Strong knowledge of NEC rules and industry standards
• Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies
• Proficient in generating and reviewing reports and project information
• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time
• Excellent written and verbal communication for documentation and customer interaction
• Demonstrates adherence to safety protocols and company safety programs
• Preferred: NFPA 70E and NFPA 70B training/certification
• Preferred: NETA electrical testing and maintenance certification
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and diagrams

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and testing in accordance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat and faults
• Inspect electrical components and wiring for wear, contamination, or damage
• Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment to ensure performance
• Test power distribution systems, control equipment, and motors for proper function
• Assess equipment condition and maintenance risks to minimize downtime
• Follow LOTO and arc-flash safety procedures; support EHS initiatives
• Maintain accurate inspection and test documentation and recommendations
• Communicate findings to customers, supervisors, and team members
• Identify and mitigate issues to reduce costs and downtime
• Assist in enforcing site safety requirements and continuous improvement of safety practices
